Anyone arriving on Thursday, May 4 or Friday May 5th and interested in birding the Grundy area may contact Roger Mayhorn at mayhorn@netscope.net or Ed Talbott at aquilaet@yahoo.com

Friday Morning Birding - 7:00 a.m. - Early Arrivals can spend the day birding Buchanan County.  Meet with Ed Talbott and Roger Mayhorn at the Huddle House Restaurant in Grundy, VA (beside the Comfort Inn).  We will bird Slate Creek and Compton Mountain before heading over to the Breaks Interstate Park.   Please register for this event by e-mailing Roger Mayhorn at mayhorn@netscope.net or calling him at (276) 259-7636.

4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Birding on your own or with local birders.

Notes:

Vendors will be available until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
There are no fees for any field trip.
Breakfast will be available on your own at the Break Lodge Restaurant after 7:00 a.m.  For early birders and field trips, there will be coffee available in your room and the BCBC will offer donuts and danishes.
